During a previous installation, I restarted my Mac due to error messages. The restart helped. I dragged that file onto the dialog box and entered the Windows 10 product key I received with my installation flash drive. Now I was asked whether I wanted to share my Mac files with Windows, or keep the two operating systems totally separate.
I chose a more seamless experience. Things are going much smoother this time than previous install attempts. Even still, I hit a roadblock…. By default, it runs inside a window like this. When my mouse is outside of that window, it is the black Mac mouse cursor.
Once it moves inside the window, it becomes the white Windows mouse cursor automatically and instantly. You can also run Windows full screen by pressing the Maximize button. The screen resolution is automatically adjusted to make the most of the extra space.
My personal take : Switching to Windows is no harder than switching to a native Mac app, whether VMware is running full-screen or in a window. If your focus is on running Windows apps rather than Windows itself, VMware Fusion offers a Unity View that hides the Windows interface and allows you to run Windows apps as if they were Mac apps. The installation is obviously possible after logging in to Microsoft you can download and install so-called Insider versions of the ARM editions of Windows 10 and Windows Forgot your password? F11 will be the last release to support Mojave. If you buy F11 after June 15, you will get a free upgrade. VMWare Workstation and Fusion will cross license. Emulation might work, but anyone’s guess how efficient that will be. Windows ARM based MIGHT run on Apple Silicon, same with ARM based Linux; just not enough information yet, not even sure all the major players Apple, Microsoft, Linux world really know what is going to happen, unless they have had talks behind closed doors, but unlikely Apple would have tipped their hat, and frankly running Windows on a Mac is not high on Apple’s priority list.

My question is, can I open a virtual machine image created on my Mac with my windows computer at work? Create virtual server on Mac with VMWare Fusion, clone it to a USB stick, bring it to work and use it at work, save it back to usb stick, go home and copy it back to the mac and continue working.
